Qingdao City, China - July 20, 2024

In a bid to enhance international cooperation in education and economic development, University of Nurul Jadid (UNUJA) delegates led by the university's administration visited Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College today. The meeting, held at the Shandong campus' Meeting Room, marked a pivotal moment in fostering deeper ties between the two institutions.

The UNUJA delegation, comprising senior officials and institution heads, was warmly received by key figures from Shandong, including President Liu Min, alongside other senior leaders Liu Xiquan, Wang Yingxi, Liu Xiaofei, Wang Siwen, Zhan Baolong, and Maou Shiming.

Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College, known for its focus on economic and trade development, aims to "connect the world, cultivate trade talents, and collaborate with alumni and local enterprises for innovation & development," explained President Liu Min. This vision aligns closely with UNUJA's goals of enhancing skills in international economics and trade, making the collaboration particularly significant.

The agenda of the meeting included discussions on student exchanges between UNUJA and Shandong, as well as opportunities for Shandong faculty members to teach at UNUJA. This reciprocal visit follows the initial meeting held at Paiton on December 9, 2023, marking the continuation of bilateral cooperation.

President Liu Min expressed optimism about the tangible outcomes of this collaboration, emphasizing its potential impact beyond education into societal development between the two countries. Similarly, UNUJA's Rector, KH. Abd. Hamid Wahid, M.Ag., highlighted the collaborative effort's potential to enhance economic, cultural, and language development.

The productive 1.5-hour working session was followed by a campus tour of Shandong, offering insights into its facilities and programs. The visit concluded with a shared lunch, symbolizing the unity and shared aspirations of both institutions towards mutual growth and understanding.
